Targeted Clientele

Alright, so who is this cream best-suited for? People with problematic hands. Chapped, cracked, eczema, very dry, hard-working, scarred, etc. Since, as the name suggests, this is a hand treatment. I just got done reading over 510 reviews, and I'm telling you, from all of them, I think I've seen 5 MAX say they have dry skin and that this cream didn't help. For people with normal, rather unproblematic hands, this one isn't the best-suited option for you. It's expensive, and you won't feel nor necessarily need its drastic main effects which are healing and deeply hydrating. A normal, good-quality, hydrating & nourishing lotion would be enough to maintain and provide care for your hands.

About "La Mer"

La Mer’s origin story begins with Dr. Max Huber—an aerospace physicist who sought out the regenerative qualities of the sea to treat a skin ailment. Years of experimentation would lead to the development of the luxury skin-care label’s Miracle Broth™: a cell-renewing elixir achieved with hand-harvested sea kelp and a unique fermentation process. First introduced in 1965 via the label’s Crème de la Mer moisturizer, Miracle Broth™ lies at the core of all La Mer products. The line’s moisturizers, balms, serums, and creams harness the potency of carefully selected vitamins and minerals to hydrate, calm, and smooth skin. Encapsulating the essence of the sea, La Mer offers timeless formulas at the cutting edge of modern skin care.

La Mer's "Miracle Broth"

The potent anti-irritant that defines every La Mer treatment. This cell-renewing elixir floods skin with energy, helping bring it back to its healthiest center. Crafted with a blend of sea kelp, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients, Miracle Broth undergoes 3 to 4 months of fermentation and exposure to light and sound waves, unlocking the renewing power that makes La Mer’s benefits unmistakable.

Rapid resolution: "Miracle broth can interrupt the chain reaction of skin irritation caused by environmental stressors. By soothing chronic signs of sensitivities, we diminish a root cause of premature visible signs of aging."

Barrier strenght: "Miracle broth helps skin create a more irritation-resistant skin barrier and balanced appearance."

Cellular recharge: "Energy is essential to regenerating a youthful look. Miracle broth boosts skin's natural energy, igniting active repair for a newly rejuvenated appearance."

- And these claims have shown their veracity so far. Solid brand.

Reviews Summary

So, like I told you, I've read a noteworthy amount of reviews for this product. That consequently makes me able to give you a good summary of what people are saying.

Starting with the texture: Everyone loves it genuinely, especially the fact that it leaves no greasy residue. I think I only saw 2 people say it was too heavy "for summer" - but make no mistake this cream is not heavy and absorbs promptly.

The scent: As mentioned above, the big majority think it's pleasant. Words like "subtle", "soft", "light", and "lovely" were recurrent. Though, I've occasionally seen some say it wasn't the best and wished it had a better smell but wasn't a deal breaker. Lastly, I did see a small small amount of people actually complain about the smell and deemed it a deal breaker. If I had to give you a number I'd say around 5. (Just stared at nothing for 3 minutes trying to remember and decide on the number.)

Next, its effect: So so so many people recommended and bought this hand cream for their family members and close ones because of how amazed they were with it. I remember thinking "again" when I'd seen someone else say they bought it for their family. I also saw a bunch of people call this the "best" "#1" hand cream "out there" "on the planet" and this, after "having tried a LOT of them" "everything". No doubt, La Mer is doing something right. Guaranteed results with this one. Again, a small minority said it did nothing or "wasn't impressive" or "wouldn't repurchase". If I had to give you a number again, I'd say no more than 25-30. The rest, swear by it, every single one.

Lastly, comments on the price: To be honest, I expected more negativity in regards to the price of this cream. But the results seem to speak louder on this one. People don't mind that much, to say not at all. In fact, a majority of them excused it. A few were turned off, but it might be because this isn't the cream meant for their skin.

Alright, now here's a few testimonies I thought were worthy of sharing:
