Room 7

5 candles I want to purchase

Right as we entered this room, we felt warmth. It was small, cluttered, and cosy. The only thing missing was an old man keen on presenting us with all the different candles and smells that were visibly being confectioned there. Nonetheless, we're about to have a lovely time here.

Note

The candles I'm about to show you peaked my interest... see this as a wish list.

Candle 1

Several things did it for me with this one. First, the name: Burning Rose. It just makes a melancholic vision play in my head which I love. Second, the description: "This rose has the scent of ardent desire. As the candle consumes, the flowery accents are slowly wrapped in leather and rooted in dark woods." Mhh. I usually don't care for the pure rose scent but mixed with something else, that interests me. I feel like it's one of those components that need to be combined with other things in order to shine. Lastly, the brand. I like the dark packaging of their candles, especially the black wax. Makes for a dim diffusion... Apparently they're known for their strong candles, so wanna experience that too. And I like the founder's vision "[...] an ambition to translate memories and emotions into products and experiences". This is an attractive late night candle. Certainly sets a certain ambience... Here it is:

Some more fire. This one is an odd one and that's why I want to try it out. I would like to see how having this scent diffuse in my place feels like without the actual fire. Can it replicate that cosy feeling/ambience just through scent? I think it would be a waste of coins if that was my main wish, you can't beat a real, hot glowing fire. But I love the woods, I've had good memories in there so far, relaxes me just thinking about it. So if this can bring the woods to me aka peace, I'll open my little pouch.

Feu de Bois (Wood Fire), 10.5 oz
Notes: Wood, fire and smoke.
"It is winter. In the hearth, the fire roars. This scented candle portrays the dense, smoky notes of the logs as they are gradually consumed.Throwing out light and casting shadows, the flame dances as it lights up the room. From time to time, we seem to hear the wood crackling."  ∮

Candle 3

So listen, to be honest, I'm not that much of a candle person. So I don't need a scent for every season. For example, I really don't care about getting an autumn candle. Though, I kinda want to know if I'm missing out on something there, because I see them enthusiasts. Is it really that pleasing to have an autumn scent burning during autumn? Hm, maybe. So there was one that attracted me because people are saying it's not overly sweet and spicy like they usually tend to be rather it's subtle and light, more mature, which I usually prefer. - Curious to smell this approach to an autumn scent.

Unknown drink, a slice of pumpkin pie and a side of fresh whipped cream.

Candle 4

I've been wanting to try something from this brand, because they have some interesting, quality candles. I'm looking at this one because of the basil hint. It's calling out to me. And the cute, glamour packaging of course. This candle has a fresh and citrussy fragrance from the neroli (think of oranges) it features as a main note, so I know this 100% smells good. It has an average rating of 4,9/5 stars so far. I think it could be nice for a bathroom.

Neroli is an essential oil produced from the blossoms of a bitter orange tree.

Candle 5

This next one looks very pretty. Jo Malone is at it again. This candle makes for a good gift. Not only is the packaging it comes in classy but the candle's vessel itself is beautifully designed. Love the black interior, nice addition. This one you will want to reuse, either put it in the bathroom and throw some cotton pads in there or just leave it in the living room or set it on a console table. But the reason I want it is because I saw it had "bramble bushes" as a main note in there. Bramble is a general term used to refer to a thorny thicket that often holds a variety of berry-producing plants: blackberries, raspberries, etc. I don't know why but I feel like this would smell divine as a candle if well-executed, mature. A different approach to a berry fragrance... intrigues me. Look at it:

Wild Berry & Bramble Candle, 10,5 oz
Notes: Red berries and bramble bushes.
"Arriving up the sunny pathway, past a tapestry of arching brambles, brimming with red berries. Their fresh juiciness carried on the air."

Alright, enough smelling for today.

I think I know which candle I'm picking up next.
