What's in my Corner so far?

Near the lone trickling fountain

5 Items I Like - Home & Cosmetic

You need to know something. Maison Pācem is vast, silent, and lifeless. So far, we've explored five  rooms. And we brought something back from each. Sometimes because we liked the item, yeah, but mostly to have something to remember every room. The thing is, the items vary in size, and carrying them with us is not an option. So we chose a corner. From the thousands there are here. We chose one we would be able to find easily. This one was next to a tranquil, lone fountain. We could hear its clear water trickle from meters away... That was how we would get back to this corner. So far, our young piles feature 5 items. Here's what mine is looking like...

Note

Hey. The items I'm about to show you range from decorative to utility to cosmetic. They are all items I would buy or already look forward to buying. Let's see how you like my taste in things...

Item 1

First object. This one I got from room 4 - the lavish corporate penthouse in Tokyo. Incredible place, not to say my favorite from the ones we explored so far. This item was set on the desk in the office. It reminds me of White Rabbit's pocket watch in Alice in Wonderland. I love looking at it. It would add such an eye-pleasing, eccentric touch to my desk... It has a nice size to it as well, it's not too small. Usually, I'm not a mega fan of gold things, I prefer silver. But this one, I make an exception for.

Look:

The White Rabbit and the rabbit hole

Alice in Wonderland, Disney - 1951.

George Nelson, American designer

He was a big designer, his creations were immensely popular. Mister Nelson is considered a pioneer of modern design.

I like his face and this expression. Absolutely unrelated indeed but hey.

Like the suit too.

Item 2

Alright next up in my pile. Um... let's see. Ok this one. I got it from room 1 - the long tunnel with a new lamp set on the ground at regular intervals. After a couple of minutes of chatting and walking in there, we came across a lamp I particularly liked. Its design looked futuristic, and I love minimal futuristic interiors. They're pleasantly calm, peaceful, tranquil and make you feel like you're in a spacecraft that's at the cutting edge of technology. On a mission. Love it.

Here it is:

Silver Table Lamp - Designed by Arne Jacobsen, 1957.

Arne Jacobsen, Danish architect and furniture designer - Next to his famous "The Egg" chair, in creation.

One of Denmark's most respected architects. He is remembered for his contribution to architectural functionalism (principle that buildings should be designed based solely on their purpose and function) and for the worldwide success of his simple, timeless, well-designed chairs (which are still in huge demand to this day).

Item 3

Next is this beautiful compact. But it's not what you expect. I found it in The Eccentric's Living Room so that explains that. It was this small item with a pretty illustration on its face. Had a bit of a weight to it. It was set on a console table. When I opened it, I was greeted with a beautiful, fresh scent... It was a solid perfume.

Refillable Solid Perfume - Alcohol-free.
Notes: Tuberose*, Orange Blossom, Jasmine / Type: Cosmetic

*Tuberose

If you never smelled this mysterious component, let me describe it for you: tuberose exudes intense flower fragrances, reminiscent of jasmine and gardenia... and lilies. It is also associated with green and spicy notes. I personally already smelled a tuberose candle from the brand Dyptique with my friend, and it was one of the best we smelled at their litlle pop-up display thing. My friend said that this would be her bathroom's smell. It smelled nice and clean

Haha it was this exact one. And it was big too, 600g. I'll link it for interested ones:

Tuberose Candle, 600g - Made in France.

Features notes of tuberose, fruity, and milky notes.

Item 4

Alright, next item parked in this corner. This one was a heavier one. This looked way too comfy to leave behind. Got this one at the eerie Bibliothèque... I could've slouched on it with a comic book if it weren't for that thing. Anyway. I like how this chair looks and the detail at the ends of its legs. Great modern design. But once again, it just looks so comfy seriously... Something about that material.

Luca Nichetto, Italian Designer

He created Nichetto Studio, which is a multidisciplinary studio based in Venice, Italy & Stockholm, Sweden. They're fondly specialized in design Art Direction, industrial and product design, and in architecture.

Item 5

5th item... I'll make an update once the pile gets larger. But let me show you this last one for now. I got it from room 2 - the large size pharmacy cabinet. Genuinely looking forward to try this one, my hands need it. I've heard nurses use this during their shifts to protect their hands. Since they have to often wash, their hands get very dry and chapped and apparently this cream lasts well even after several washes. I've seen it's excellent for eczema as well... The reviews make me crave it.

This one:

Well, that was my pile. I had fun showing you. Now we'll sit down, have a snack, and resume our exploration of this vast, silent, and lifeless place.
